Steelshield is the first system specifically designed to form a solid, opaque barrier to be used in the entertainment industry. It is mainly used
as a perimeter fence but performs many roles inside the production. As such, Steelshield has become a widely used solution for fencing festivals and
other events in the UK. Below is a list of some of them.

However, no two events are the same. Festivals usually require perimeter, stage, campsite and internal fencing. This is performed using a combination
of original steelshield, high level and low level advertising fence to secure the arena and various areas. The surface is usually soil and the event
large. Steelshield does not just cater for music festivals though. The fence can be fixed to a variety of surfaces including concrete and tarmac. If it cannot
be anchored, Freeshield can be used, making it possible to fence almost any event.

Proms in the Park
London's Hyde Park is the venue for the annual cultural get together. The erection of the perimeter fence is completed in two days to prevent
disruption to the park and its users. The team then return to fence the various guest areas and the stage after all other work is completed
(e.g. stages erected, toilet blocks installed).

Hogmanay
Edinburgh, one of the worlds favourite new year destinations. Controlling the massive numbers in the city centre was not the only problem.
Edinburgh council did not want any pins or bolts to be driven into the roads or pavements. To preserve the history of the city and to prevent any
damage, Freeshield was used.

Live 8
This festival needs no introduction. Twenty years after the original Live Aid steelshield was called to fence this historic event. G8 was the sister
concert that took place in Scotland. One hundred thousand people gathered in Hyde Park that day to make poverty history. To effectively control the
volume of people, Steelshield was a practical solution.

Reading Festival
The original British festival has exclusively used Steelshield since the beginning of its reign as the most consistent of the uk summer dates. Catering
for sixty thousand revellers, Reading Rock is more of an institution than a gathering of music lovers. Steelshield has kept it secure for more than
eleven years and will continue to do so in the foreseeable future.

Liverpool Docks
Steelshield have fenced the docks on several occasions for various concerts. Notably a return to his home for Sir Paul Mcartney. Fencing here
requires a different approach due to the high winds. To secure the fence it was deemed necessary to rawl bolt the panels to the concrete of the dock.
Some concerts required the fence to be left facing the cruelty of the Irish Sea for several weeks.

Film
Steelshield is not only used for crowd control. Being a solid opaque fence it can be used to block out undesirable aspects when filming or simply to
keep out prying eyes. It has been used at Pinewood Studios and other studios throughout the UK. It has also been used as a visual barrier in the
Millenium Dome and at several race tracks to block line of sight.
